Only Sound's goal is the evocation of a strong emotional bond by creating a universe of sounds that is exceptional. Composing intoxicating music and artistically designing sound effects are given priority. Thereby Only Sound is adding yet another dimension to any of your games and will animate it audibly.
Every game's different. Each one needs a distinct language to establish a connection between gamer, play area and story. An immersive soundtrack is an important part of this language. Only Sound's strenght lies in the ability to handle very diverse styles of music so that every game can present itself with a unique musical voice.
Whether vast deserts, enchanted forests, post apocalyptic worlds or the vastness of outer space - any play area will not be a true adventure if there's not a sound backdrop that adds emotional depth to it. A sophisticated design will ensure that even the tiniest bit of sound effect becomes a part of the game's identity. We don't think much of pre-assembled sound effect libraries! That's why we at Only Sound place particular value on designing every sound effect individually.
Mixing in a professional way is often underestimated and can boost a piece of music to a higher level. The mastering afterwards finally bestows the finishing touch. Voice over is also part of our services. Berlin is well-known for its variety of dubbing actors and there's a wide range to choose from. We also take care of scouting, recording and post-processing.

About us
Only Sound was established in 2014 by Felix Bachlinger and Paul Stähr and is focused on sound design and music particularly for the game industry. Felix and Paul first met at the University Hochschule der populären Künste in Berlin while studying Audio Design. Very soon they discovered their mutual passion for games and movies. In the course of collaborative projects they stroke up a close friendship and a fruitful cooperation came about, leading to the launch of Only Sound.

Felix started playing the drums at the age of 5. Later on he also took piano lessons. While at school and university he played in different bands and orchestras. Among them the 'Niederbayerische Jugendsinfonie' and the 'Junge Philharmonie Ostbayern'. He was already wowed by the coordination between vision and tone within movies and video games at a very young age. One of Felix's strengths is the creation of new sounds with the help of synthetic tone generators inflecting them frequently to his wishes by using scripting language. On basis of having studied computer science too, Felix gives Only Sound also the authority to carry out audio implementations into games and to communicate professionally with programmers.
Paul's connection with music was a strong one since childhood. Educated musically he started both primary school and singing in different choirs as well as studying the violin for 10 years. He also took piano lessons. It was then that he made his first experience as a member of orchestra. Paul's attraction to digital sound shaping and composition emerged at the age of 14. His enthusiasm for Sound Design and first and foremost for movie soundtracks grew steadily as did his wish to practice these disciplines professionally as a day job. Within the scope of his academic studies Paul was already responsible for the scoring of short subjects and games. Only Sound benefits greatly due to Paul's intuition and his empathy for the different types of scenery and the resultant uniqueness of the tonal transformation.
